chandeliers
More than a dining room light, chandeliers can add beauty to many rooms.
Chandelier Lighting tip:
When lighting a Dining Room or Foyer, a chandelier's diameter in inches should equal the sum of the length and width of the room in feet. For example: If a dining room is 12 feet by 16 feet, the diameter of the chandelier should be 28 inches.
In a foyer the fixture should hang at least 7 feet from the floor, while in a dining room, 30 inches above the table is a rule of thumb.
Modern Twist:
Using a small chandelier above a soaker tub has become a beautiful new way to light an ensuite. Old fashioned crystal with a modern flare has also brought life to many eating nooks, kitchen islands, or even bedrooms.
